The only milk recipe in the LiveFresh cookbook that did not require straining through the nut milk bag!  This missing step likely explains the increased weight and density of the drink.  The smell and flavor were reminiscent of brown rice, which was surprisingly pleasant as a milk.

  • Yield:               2 cups


  • 2 cups water
  • 1/2 cup cooked brown rice
  • 1/2 – 1 tablespoon brown sugar or other sweetener
